owl-ways in style

I adore owls! (I mean, who doesn’t, right?) The latest challenge from Embellish magazine had me itching to create. Coral, chocolate, and green feel so very in to me right now. I really appreciate how on top of the trends Embellish is. Incorporating this type of thing into papercrafting is so much fun!
So, about those bad puns. I didn’t use the greeting that came with this stamp set “love owl-ways” — but only because it wouldn’t fit in the space I left. {grins, highly amused} My little watercolored owl is just going to have to stand “owl alone”.

Sorry. Can’t help myself.
Shocker: I actually made a card without any sort of foam pop-up action, and I love it! It feels very “giveable.” Do you struggle with adding too much dimension to your cards too? It’s so hard not to. I always feel sad when my cards don’t fit in their envelopes well.
recipe: stamps: love owl-ways (SU) + vintage picnic sentiments (pti); cardstock: reed (bazzil) + watercolor paper (su); patterned paper: farm fresh (october afternoon) + nutmeg (cosmo cricket); ink: chocolate chip + groovy guava + kiwi kiss + jet black stazon (all su); buttons: melon berry (pti); tools: blender pens (su) + crop-a-dile corner chomper (we r memory keepers) + scallop edge punch (su)
This is fabulous! Love the design and that cutie pie owl!
