a little shimmer

This crazy card is based on the last 2 Sketches 4 You challenge (Kazan’s Sketch #37), but I didn’t get it done in time for the actual challenge. I turned the sketch on its side and used an oval rather than a circle for the center “framed” portion of the sketch. I’m pretty happy with it and have been brainstorming appropriate occasions for giving it to someone.

My little sister, Tine, just recently bought her first home with her husband, Matt. She’d appreciate the purple shimmer! And, since she doesn’t follow crafting at all, I feel sneaky yet okay about putting this up here on my blog before giving it to her. Ha! While Tine doesn’t follow crafting, she’s an amazing baker of cakes. She said she’s going to put up a baking blog and I can’t wait to share that with you all once she gets going. Mmmm.

recipe: all supplies Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted. stamps: sweet season; cardstock: very vanilla; patterned paper: cottage wall; chipboard: lovebirds (sei); ink: baja breeze; fibers: ocean tides topnotch twill (pti); tools: scallop edge punch

    Tell Tine to get a move on with that baking blog! I saw a blog post about cupcakes yesterday and have been dreaming of really divine homemade chocolate frosting ever since… Mmmmm… {drools on keyboard}
