happy fall thoughts

While I’ve been thwarted in taking a trip up the canyons to photograph the fall leaves — spent all day yesterday trying to find a rug for in front of the door so we don’t ruin our bamboo — I have been enjoying creating lots of fall projects. This little treat box went together so quickly. Don’t you just adore Sizzix dies and punches?

Chris is laughing at me because I don’t have any candy corn to put in my box. Well, I don’t have any cellophane bags either, so . . . yeah. Candy corn wouldn’t help me out much today, would it? {giggles}

In the meantime, we’re loving the amazing gold leaves we can see from our office window. I’m amazed at how many different shades of leaves we have in our neighborhood alone! It’s really windy today, which usually means a storm is blowing in. I just can’t have snow yet! It’s been in the mid-60’s and so beautiful!

But looming storm aside, we’re having a lovely day listening to The Beatles Help, which is one of my favorite albums of all time. It reminds me of going on vacations to Nebraska to visit my grandparents when we were little. Driving through the mountains in the dark, listening to this album, and knowing that we’re going to stop in Caspar, Wyoming at the McDonald’s for breakfast. Isn’t it funny the little things you remember from your childhood? I need to hunt down some pictures and scrapbook this.
