world card making day

WCMD Logo 2

Well, obviously, last night I didn’t think I was going to get a chance to play. This is one of those times when I’m so happy to have been wrong! After it got too dark to take decent photos last night, I made three cards for WCMD. I’m so —

We interrupt this post for a brief look at my life.

Chris: I’m going to watch The Office.
Me: The one that was on Thursday?
Chris: . . . yes . . .
Me: But I’m posting!!

Yes, I am that insane {grins proudly}. Chris argued that he wouldn’t watch it until I was done (cause he’s awesome like that), but I told him to go ahead. It was pretty funny listening to it while I got this ready! (Michael drives me nuts — argh!)

Now, where were we . . . . I’m so happy to be able to play along with all of the challenges every week and share my love for color, so I decided to dedicate this post to three challenges that inspire me!

The first card simply uses this week’s Color Throwdown combination: Basic Gray, Really Rust, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry. This is my new go-to Halloween combination for 2009. Whoo hoo! I loved it so much, I had to make another card using it.

I’ve never participated in the 2 Sketches for You challenge before, but this week’s sketch (Kazan’s sketch 36) is so perfect for a Halloween card! Don’t you love that striped ribbon with the two patterns? I adore pairing Autumn Meadows paper with Cottage Wall. Gorgeous!

And finally, I have a card for this week’s SPCC challenge: Bashful Blue, Real Red, So Saffron, and Old Olive. Stampin’ Up!’s Junior Varsity paper works so well for this: the patterns play so well together. Add a little dotted Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, and you’re done!

Hopefully, I’ll be adding some additional cards this evening. Happy WCMD everyone!
