spcc hoppin’ time

This week, it’s starting to feel like fall here in Utah. Well, not today — it was freaking hot — but every morning when I step outside, there’s a little chill in the air. And I’ve had to bust out the jacket: my gorgeous aqua blue trench! The light is too bad right now for me to get a photo (grrrr). But I promise to post one of me in the remodeled house in my aqua trench. {grins} It’s gonna happen.

And now for a remodel update!

Today, I finished painting the trim that we’ve been able to cut so far. We have a little bit left to do this week. And yesterday we went to Restoration Hardware and bought the light for our dining room! It’s going to look so classy. Seriously, I’m so happy with the way the remodel is coming together — it looks like one of those places you’d see in Domino or Dwell but, at the same time, the funky artwork makes it so very us! Okay, starting to use too many exclamation points.

I’m not sure that our dream of hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year is going to happen. Revised dream: Make breakfast in our kitchen on Christmas morning and sit in our beautifully decorated living room to open presents. {grins} In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy watching the leaves change color in the mountains.

recipe: stamps: vintage picnic; card stock: whisper white + wild wasabi; patterned paper: candy lane; ink: chocolate chip pad + always artichoke marker + old olive marker + pumpkin pie marker + summer sun marker; fibers: pumpkin pie striped grosgrain ribbon; tools: stampin' dimensionals + blender pens; punches: 1-3/4" circle punch + parisian edger punch

Okay, wait just a second here. I am SO planning on seeing your finish remodel as part of my Thanksgiving celebrations!!! (Not that I’m expecting to be eating dinner at your house or anything, I’m just expecting to see the finished product.) How can you possibly change plans on us?! That’s almost like… like… rescheduling a U2 concert for 85,000 people!
