Today, I’m sharing two quick cards using an awesome technique I learned through Online Card Classes. Clean & Simple 3 is underway right now, and this is just a taste of the techniquey goodness in store for the students! The technique? Die cut inlay. Honestly, I made a ton of cards using this idea, and I can’t get over how much fun it is… and how much I love the clean, smooth results. It’s a “must-have” technique in the repertoire of any Clean & Simple cardmarker!
The cards shown here feature the same paper packs (Hello Sunshine and Let’s Polka) and die sets (Scripty Hello and Large Stitched Journaling Card) from Lawn Fawn, resulting in perfectly coordinated looks. Wouldn’t this be a fun card set to give to a friend? Hmmm. Ideas…. Notice: The “Hello” from the bottom card was actually die cut from the background of the top card! Using this idea, you can quickly create cool color and pattern combos for card sets with very little effort. Hooray!
There’s still time to join in the fun with Clean & Simple 3. Classes started on Monday, 3/10, but you can quickly catch up… and the class is structured so that you can easily go at your own pace. Love it!
And, for more Lawn Fawn fun, check out the Lawn Fawn blog this week! Starting on Thursday is our March Inspiration Week, packed with ideas for using the new Lawn Fawn products. It just doesn’t get much happier than that.
