Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Gnome Sweet Gnome

I had so much fun playing with Lawn Fawn’s new Gnome Sweet Gnome set! For this month’s inspiration week, I really wanted to focus on how you could take a single image from the set and make a super-satisfying card to brighten someone’s day. So here’s my very Floridian looking flamingo, tucked behind a punched bit of “grass” or it could be a little scalloped lawn border. I couldn’t really decide!

I also wanted to show a fun way to go “sentimentless” on a card–by using letter stamps to create a background. I love Lawn Fawn alphabets because you can easily line up the little rectangular stamps to create a word on your acrylic block, then start stamping. It makes it so, so easy to put together a custom background like this one. It probably took me three minutes at the most.

All in all, this is a great, quick card design. The flamingo is easy to cut out for paper piecing. And, if paper piecing just isn’t your thing, a single monochromatic flamingo punched out with a circle punch would look great with this design too.

Have fun! And don’t forget to check out all of the Lawn Fawn inspiration week posts for your chance to win these fab products!
