Hope everyone had a great National Scrapbooking Day! Thanks to the fab people at Big Picture Classes, I know I sure did. Taking part in their challenges, hosting my very first live chat, and visiting with scrapbookers from all over the world was a wonderful experience. Later that night, I even had a chance to pop into one of the chats that Studio Calico was hosting. Those girls are “cray-cray”! Love them!
Anyway, I completed three layouts during the day, and thought I’d share them with you all here.
Loving My Small but Awesome Family recipe: Patterned paper: Kaisercraft and Sassafras; Stickers: Crate Paper and Sassafras; Buttons: Crate Paper; Rub-ons: Hambly Screen Prints; Ribbon: My Mind's Eye; Netting: Webster's Pages; Pen: American Crafts; Adhesive: Tombow; Other: Cardstock.
The next layout is one that I did for Cindy’s woodgrain challenge. I’ve been wanting to scrapbook this for a long time, but I took the photos on my phone in a very dark room…. So, yeah, the pictures suck. Who cares, right?
A Night at Studio D recipe: Patterned paper: Crate Paper, Lily Bee Design, Sassafras, and Studio Calico; Stickers: American Crafts, Crate Paper, Sassafras, and Studio Calico; Ribbon: My Mind's Eye; Pen: American Crafts; Adhesive: Tombow.
And finally, I made this last layout for the “Think Outside the Box” challenge, which involved extending your layout’s lines past the edge of the page. Love this! I used bright wavy lines to visually extend the ocean in my photo (matted on fabric and tissue paper from the challenge that I hosted). The photo is of my friend Christine during one of our many Florida business trips.
Florida in January recipe: Patterned paper: BasicGrey and Sassafras; Flashcard: Pink Paislee; Stickers: Cosmo Cricket and Sassafras; Buttons: Crate Paper; Tissue paper: Studio Calico; Pen: American Crafts; Adhesive: Tombow; Other: Fabric.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there with kids!
