Home and Color

Hi everyone! Hope you had a fabulous National Scrapbooking Day–I know I did. It was a blast hanging out with a bunch of scrapbookers on Friday night and Saturday morning at the our CK Scrap & Play event. And if you haven’t had a chance to check out some of the crazy events we had going on over at Club Creating Keepsakes, do. I think there might still be a chance to win some of the incredible prizes we had. Plus, there are loads of free downloads!

In addition to CK Scrap & Play fun, Chris and I went and purchased our living room carpet. By June 1, we should be chilling in our living room! Hooray!! Our dishwasher arrived yesterday morning while I was in Provo, and can I just say how much I appreciate not having to hand-wash dishes after we made homemade pizzas on our George Foreman grill last night? (Yes, we’re getting quite inventive with that appliance. LOL.)

So, here’s our schedule for the next remodel steps: Tile backsplash on the 10th/11th, followed shortly by the range hood installation, then carpet on or around the 20th. We also ordered our pendant lights for the bar yesterday (whew!) and those should be in around June 10th. Progress is being made here folks! I’ll be posting a lot of pictures in June.

Anyway, with all of the great house news, I thought I’d share a little card I made, inspired by the color challenge that my friends at Paper Crafts had in one of their submission calls a little while back. It’s full of “architectural style” (says Chris). {grins}

recipe: cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper and Stampin' Up!; Patterned paper: American Crafts and Studio Calico; Stamps: Papertrey Ink; Ink, punches, and ribbon: Stampin' Up!.
