Not as Serious as I Look

Things have been pretty hectic lately, but I’m happy to have a chance to share this layout I made recently. I absolutely adore the way the misting turned out — I used a BasicGrey Doilie as a template. I’ve been big on misting the last few weeks. There’s just something about adding a touch of sparkle to a page that takes me to my happy place.

This photo was, incidentally, taken at the Happiest Place on Earth (or one of them): Disney World! I was in St. Pete, Florida on business over the Fourth of July several years ago, and Christine and I headed to Orlando for the holiday weekend. We spent a lot of time at Disney that year — we were down in Florida every few weeks — and a season pass came in super handy. They had amazing fireworks on the Fourth.

My face in the photo? I smiled two seconds after Christine snapped this picture. But it has turned into one of my favorite “self portraits” ever.

Here’s hoping you’re all in your happy place as we head into April. Love ya!

Recipe: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper; Laser-cut paper: BasicGrey (template); Baker's twine and journaling card: Studio Calico; Spray ink: Tattered Angels; Marker and ribbon: Stampin' Up!; Crocheted flower: American Crafts; Other: Staples.

Oh, what a delightful post! I came by, fully prepared to read you the riot act for not having posted in AGES… and, oh look! You posted! Hurray! And you even posted about something that had to do with ME. DOUBLE Hurray!

And I’d like to say that…
    A) I really do love that photo,
    B) Those really were great weekends at DWorld, and
    C) We really do need a Mouse House trip, so
    D) Could you finish the remodel already?

This is SO awesome! I love Tattered Angels too, but the last time I tried it I made a mess of my page and had to start over. Oops! Thankfully it is just paper! And thankfully there are girls like you to lead the way! Hope you have a happy Easter! Hugs!
