kwerner color challenge #45

This week’s color challenge from Kristina Werner really was just that — challenging! I finally came up with something that I didn’t hate though. (Now there’s a ringing endorsement for this project, huh?) Here are the lessons I learned from this card:

  • Embroidering without actual embroidery thread is for the birds, though I’m rather happy with the way the butterfly turned out.
  • Have all your colors on-hand before starting a color challenge. A little Basic Black card stock would have made a world of difference here.
  • Hooray for finally using up some old supplies!

Hope you like it!

recipe: cardstock: white (bazzill basics) and basic gray textured (stampin' up!); patterned paper: scenic route; ribbon: making memories; rub-on, die-cutting machine, die, and covered wire: stampin' up!; other: needle and thread
